Fireflies changed its Free plan for everyone who signed up on or after September 1, 2026. Here's exactly what you get, the one setting that unlocks unlimited transcription, and what still needs a paid plan.

How to turn on unlimited free transcription
- In Fireflies, open Settings.
- In Meeting Settings, switch on Auto-join calendar meetings.
- Pick which meetings it joins: all meetings with a web-conference link, only meetings you own, or only meetings with teammates.
Auto-join means the Fireflies bot joins those meetings automatically. Tell attendees a note-taker is running, and check your company's policy on recording bots first.
